Called to be a Servant

We cannot live a fulfilling Christian life without embracing the attitude of being a servant. We must follow the example of Jesus as followers of Him. He is the ultimate example of being a servant.
So let the Holy Spirit come and speak to your heart as you read these great scripture quotes about serving.
These are featured Scriptures on Serving Others.
MATTHEW 20:27-28
27 AND WHOEVER WANTS TO BE FIRST AMONG YOU MUST BECOME YOUR SLAVE. 28 FOR EVEN THE SON OF MAN CAME NOT TO BE SERVED BUT TO SERVE OTHERS AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM FOR MANY.”
We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. (2 Corinthians 6:8)
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (1 Peter 4:10)
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13)
Follow CHRIST’S EXAMPLE OF HUMILITY
Philippians 2:5-8
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Seeking Proper Perspective of Life

Seeking Proper Perspective of Life.
James 1:9-11
9".But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; 10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away."
What we tend to pursue, in our desires in life, is meaningless against the backdrop of seeking faith and the call that Christ gives us. Perspective is the mental view or outlook of what we see in our world, our circumstances, our situation, and our Lord. The reality and outcome of our viewpoints influences our beliefs that in turn influence our attitude which affects our actions. The reality and outcome of our viewpoints influences our beliefs that in turn influence our attitude which affects our actions. This is also called "worldview." How do you look at the world? Is it for what you can get out of it and what is in it for me, or is it for what you can learn and grow? The answer will determine your character, maturity, spiritual growth, how you deal with problems, and how you can make your situation positive and meaningful! Without proper perspective, we will be torn apart by our desires and the world's influence, while our faith and God's precepts are being ignored.
Perspective is also the hope we are to have because of the reality of Christ's redemption. Our hope is anchored because He paid our debt. Because of this, we will realize that He is more than able to carry us through whatever happens to us. We will be able to see beyond the appearance of our circumstances and into the depths of our significance in Christ. Then, our thinking will cause us to see interrelations and outcomes that are pleasing to Him.

We will be able to see beyond the appearance of our circumstances and into the depths of our significance in Christ. Then, our thinking will cause us to see interrelations and outcomes that are pleasing to Him.
Vs. 9-10: Money (greed and corruption), sex (unhealthy relationships), and power (pride and arrogance that oppresses others) are of no use in and of themselves unless they are tools for His glory-as in money (stewardship), sex (good marital relationships), and power (positive influence and encouragement). Pursuits, in our lives, will burn and be of no value some day; only what we learn, how we have grown, and the people we touch will be the real value that will echo throughout eternity! We have the determination and ability to make something better of ourselves by our spiritual, emotional, and social growth for our Lord's glory. We do this by seeing the situations we are in from a higher perspective. If we have the mindset of learning in this way, trials will work for us and not against us!
Our perspective is eternity. When we see our life here on earth as a mere rehearsal, and how to learn and build to what is to come in eternity, we can be better prepared to face anything-even dire situations and death, because our eyes and attitude are in Him and not our circumstances! If we do not learn in our trials and circumstances, they will be a waste. We need to seek their purpose and allow them to better us and not bitter us! When we trust in Christ, we will be allowing ourselves to learn from suffering and not take our blessings for granted.
Vs. 11: Poverty, in this context, is referring to a trial that we can overcome. Rich people have their problems as poor people do. Money really does not bring satisfaction; it only takes a person from one set of problems to another. Being either rich or poor will bring trials and circumstances we need to learn from and overcome. Thus, our focus needs to be on Christ and not wealth. Christ, who saves us, is the same Christ who is there for us and gives us our significance and hope. Being in Christ means our social structures have been obliterated (Gal. 3:28).

The Victorious Christian Living

The Victorious Christian Life
Why is it that some believers grow in Christ to become mature, well-balance, fruitful Christians, while others spend most of their lives defeated, frustrated and unproductive?
God's Word clearly speaks of a plan and purpose for our lives. We can enjoy a rich and abundant life if we walk obediently along God's Pathway. However, this does not mean that we will never encounter difficulties or experience adversity. Jesus told His followers that in this life they would have trouble (John 16:33)
To walk consistently along God's Pathway to victorious living, we also need to recognize that every believer has two natures. The new nature (Christ dwelling in us by His Spirit) desires to live obediently along God's Pathway... but the old nature (flesh) pulls us in another direction, away from God.
Walking along God's Pathway does not come about by coincidence or accident. God is merciful and compassionate. He made a provision for disobedient and wayward Christians to return to His Pathway if we are willing to admit our need and confess our sins. God will put us back on the Pathway to peace, joy and fullness of life.
This life takes dedication and surrender to Jesus as Lord of our lives. The Psalmist wrote:
"Show me your ways, Oh Lord, teach me to your paths, guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:4-5
Further, we are strengthened an encouraged each day by spending time alone with God. A daily "quiet time" spent with God's Word and prayer provides direction for our lives.

CHURCH USHERS

A church usher is a person who helps ensure a smoothly running church service and who ministers to people in a variety of practical ways. The specific responsibilities of an usher vary with the church, but his duties usually include greeting people as they arrive for the service, assisting people with special needs, and collecting the offering.
Ushers have a goal of minimizing distractions during the music and sermon. Ushers stand ready to assist anyone in the congregation who might need help, to aid latecomers in finding a seat, and to inform those in the sanctuary of any urgent matters.
Although the position of “usher” is not mentioned in the Bible, ushers today provide an invaluable service to the local church body. In many ways, the ushers are the “face” of the church, the first ones that people see when they arrive and the last ones they see as they leave. It is important that an usher be friendly, honest, and willing to serve. It is an honorable position in the church, requiring integrity, cordiality, and wisdom.
The heart of an usher is the heart of a servant, and he does his work for his Lord Jesus (Colossians 3:24). A church usher has a true love for the people of the church and a desire to promote an atmosphere of reverence and worship in the house of God. An usher’s theme verse could very well be Psalm 84:10, “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”

Description: Ushers are often the first voice and the first interaction visitors experience at a church.  They are responsible for bringing comfort, compassion and the spirit of God’s blessings to all who enter the church doors.

The mission of the Ushering Ministry is to serve together in manner that is pleasing to God, to glorify the sanctuary of the Lord by providing a courteous, and friendly place of worship, and welcoming atmosphere and to be attentive to the needs of the congregation.

The vision of this ministry is to continue to grow spiritually and increase the ministry with new members, to continue to move forward with the vision that God has set for Transforming Life to actively support the church and community through service and commitment, and to promote unity, spiritual knowledge, and stewardship.

The goal of Usher ministry is to meet and greet visitors, friends, and families of   God providing a warmth, and welcoming attitude.  We are here to serve those who attend our worship services in the capacity fitting of the manner demonstrated by our Lord Christ Jesus.

WE ARE ALIVE IN CHRIST

WE ARE ALIVE IN CHRIST....

1 Corinthians 15:22 (KJV)
Adam sinned by disobeying God in the Garden of Eden. This sin separated not only Adam from God but also all of his descendants. From that time on everyone needed a Savior. All mankind was separated from God by their fallen condition. Jesus is God's solution to this problem. It' s true all people are separated from God because of sin through their union with Adam. But it is also true that in the same manner, we are all raised to life because of our union with Christ. As a born again believer in Jesus, we have God's sure word that we are restored to God in relationship and are made spiritually alive in Christ. In Jesus we are loved and enlightened. So let His life shine out of you to illuminate the dark world around you.......

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY

HOW CAN WE KNOW THE WAY TO GOD?

We will know the way to God through his Son Jesus because he is both God and man. By uniting our lives with his, we are united with God.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". (John 14:6)

Jesus says he is the only way to God the Father. As the way, Jesus is our path to the Father. As the truth, he is the reality of all God's promises. As the life, he joins his divine life to ours, both now and eternally.
Trust Jesus to take you to the Father and all the benefits of being God's child will be yours.....

GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY

Spreading God`s Word.
GOD SOVEREIGNTY CONTROLS POLITICAL POWERS
“The king`s heart is in the hand of the Lord as the rivers of water: he turneth whatsoever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1)
No one is great (not even a king/president) that he is not under the control of God. The Lord sovereignty controls political powers and everything under heaven and earth.
Colossians 1:16-17 - “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth visible or invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers, all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things and by him all things consist.”
The Lord Jesus is king of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Blessings!
